RaRa and Reddy's Day Out @ Potato Head Folk

Those familiar with Bali will definitely be well versed with the mere mention of "Potato Head". Singapore has for the past 2 years hosted this acclaimed brand name from the sunny shores of Bali. Potato Head Folk is housed in a restored pre-war art deco shophouse, occupying all 4 levels of the corner lot funky shophouse. First level holds the take-out counter of Three Buns, second holds the dining area of Three Buns, third and fourth are both bars, with the rooftop bar being at fourth. Us being burger fans were here to try out what Three Buns is known for - BURGERS!

The building complex and it's whimsical interior is a collaboration with Australian David Bromley of Bromley & Co. Pretty murals in shades of mostly shades of blue dot the white walls of the second level where Three Buns is located. Kinda remind one of those beautiful Dutch hand painted blue and white pottery, otherwise also known as Delftware.

Short info about Three Buns - they are originally from Jakarta, and currently Singapore's Potato Head Folk is the only other overseas outlet (not for long though!) serving Three Buns signature burgers (Potato Head Hong Kong is due for opening sometime soon in June 2016). The outlet in Jakarta also serves as a "cultural hub" of sorts, supporting the local creative community in arts, music and fashion. Those in Bali can also have their Three Buns fix at the infamous Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak.

"The Gangster Styled Dogg" @ $17.00 is what this baby's called. Comes with chilli beef sausage, cheese and "Big Poppa Hot Sauce". Would have loved it with more sauce. But the "Dogg" was flavorful, meaty enough and came with a great hint of smokiness.

It's a pity that every item comes on it's own, the burgers don't have the usual accompaniment of fries/salad, you get the idea.. We had to order a portion of House Fries (which was pretty small a portion unfortunately) @ $5.00, small price to pay, but would have been nice to have it included along with the burger.

Prime 120g beef patty, double applewood smoked cheddar, Dingley Dell beer & treacle cured bacon, BBQ ketchup, smoky mayo & crisp onions in a demi brioche bun, @ $25.00. Yea, that's quite steep ain't it.. Patty was a bit underwhelming, in need of more seasoning perhaps? We were here 3-ish in the afternoon and were told that they didn't have milkshakes? Queer, but yea, that was what we were told.. seemed that other tables were blissfully enjoying what could have been for us a great milkshake. Oh well. We settled for juice (bottled, not fresh, ya) and tea.
