RaRa and Reddy Goes To Coastes @ Sentosa

There are times when I crave for that quintessential "beach holiday" feel, I find myself back at this little island away from THE main island. Well, not so away lah, it's just a cable car ride/monorail ride/short car ride across the water/bridge. Sentosa, despite it being overridden by selfie-stick-armed-tourists, still have a few hidden gems for those of us eager to escape from our hectic, perpetual rush-hour life. Step in Coastes (on Siloso Beach), and you will find yourself transported to a make-believe faraway land (for me it's probably Bali lah, but that's good enough).

Best seats in the house - try to get on the daybeds, they have the perfect spot for sunset watching

Already this feels a 1000 miles away from the hustle and bustle of our "mainland" island

Ain't nothing close to Maldives, but this will suffice

There's a choice of indoor seating, alfresco deck seating and of course, the beach seating

To place an order, you can either head up to the cashier's or use their app.

The app couldn't seem to download while we were there, so we simply walked up to the cashier's.

Clockwise : Garlic Prawns @ $18.00, Penne Carbonara @ $24.00, Spaghetti & Mushroom Aglio Olio @ $22.00

Super simple dish, but many places can't seem to get it right. Here at Coastes? They pretty much did a a good enough job with their rendition - not too oily, with a hint of heat from the chilli and garlic subtle enough to not make you stink to the heavens.

Well this portion turned out bigger than I expected! The prawns were fresh and succulently sweet, love the addition of sundried tomatoes!

Because it's someone's birthday! 

Mother Nature generously put up a glorious display of colors.

Coastes is a place to unwind, to kick back those shoes, dig 'em toes into the sand, have a drink or two, grab some beach grubs and enjoy the company of  friends and loved ones. Service can be better (and warmer), there's definitely some room for improvement here. But with a million dollar view like this, I'm not complaining :)
