Special Tendon $13.90 (after taxes $16.35) consists of 2 pieces each of juicy chicken breast and (very fresh) prawns, 1 egg and 4 pieces of vegetables.
Good things come to those who wait. Finally get a front row seat. And the chefs wittingly posed, haha.
Smack right in front of the vegetable section. This is where the chef does the Egg Tempura, very fascinating to watch. How something so simple is transformed into something so wonderfully delicious in a few ticks of the minute hand on the clock.
Chawanmushi and pickled cabbage to whet the appetite
There are 2 chefs that does the frying - one each for the vegetable and meat/prawn section. And one chef to meticulously piece together each serving into a mountain of goodies.
Taaa-dah!!!! Those prawns definitely makes a good "centerpiece" of sorts.
Succulent, fresh, and has a sweet aftertaste which only the freshest of seafood can offer.
The Piece de Resistance - One single oozy egg yolk with just enough egg white and tempura batter to hold each piece in place. Let the yolk ooze into the rice for that added oopmh!
