Looks like any typical Nasi Padang joint. Wait till you walk inside.
Aiyo, my Achilles Heel - Kuehs! Kueh Lopis some more.. But alas, no space for this.
The Beef Rendang does not look like the usual fare, the rempah has a sultry shade of brown instead of the regular red.
Skylight on the ceiling gives the interior a splash of pale sunlight
This may be enough for light eaters, but for those with a heavier appetite, you may need more than one of this!
Clockwise : Teh Tarik Kao, Fried Egg, Sayur Lodeh, Chicken Rendang, Acar
"Less is more", simple Fried Eggs given an uplift with slices of chilli and spring onion. The Sayur Lodeh was different too, the rempah has a crimson hue instead of the regular turmeric yellow.
The Hero of the day. Love the rempah! Can roughly taste the chunky kerisik in the caramelised rempah.
A picture tells a thousand words.
One more to rave about, the Teh Tarik Kao (or loosely translated = Strong Pulled Tea) was heady with the aromatic scent of the tea, not overly sweet (which is oh-so important). Sedap!
Pop art adorns the walls
Along with old musical instruments..
