RaRa and Reddy's Weekend Time - Two Bakers @ Horne Road

T'was a drag-our-bums-out-of-the-house day.The mouth craves something sweet, the mind craves an adventure to an unknown territory, and the flesh is unwilling to venture out into the hot sun. Eventually, after a few wasted movements of the hands of the clock, RaRa and Reddy finally decided to head down to, somewhere where we needed to do some navigating from Lavender Mrt. Armed with Google Map, we were greeted with the sight of a few options in Horne Road. After a few read-ups here and there, our choice for treats today will be at Two Bakers.

"Did you lose the cafe?" I was asked by The Kid.

According to Google Map, we should be close by? Two Bakers should be across the stadium..

It's the IN thing to house a cafe in an old shophouse.

The more unlikely the location, the more chic it is.

We barely made it, 2 minutes before the kitchen closes for hot food orders.

Decisions, decisions!

Maybe I am old fashioned, but the price appears pretty much on the high side.

Le Chocolate Noir, seasonal special @ $9.80. Looks promising.

Salted Caramel Eclair @ $6.80. The caramel infused cream is nice and fragrant, but the caramel glaze has a (overly) gelatinous texture, almost rubbery.

Spoils of the day. Fat-Die-Me-Us.

The Chocolate Noir @$9.80 - Hazelnut chocolate mousse with a crispy praline base, encased in dark chocolate ganache coating and garnished with roasted peanuts surrounding the edge of the dome. Well, I think it's hazelnut chocolate mousse..

88 Fries with Truffle Mayo Dip @ $10.80. Whoa, that's steep.

Our $10.80 is worth every dip in the Truffle Mayo. You can actually see bits of Truffles. Way better than the regular run-of-the-mill Truffles Fries which is flavoured with truffle scented oil.

Oh look, they were HUNGRY!
